Duties
Specializing in healthcare architecture, play a pivotal role in the successful planning, design, documentation, and coordination of complex architectural projects. Responsibilities span across all phases of design and construction, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, code-compliant, and functionally optimized healthcare facilities within the United States. Lead the design and coordination of small to mid-scale architectural projects, providing oversight on both creative and technical deliverables. Oversee project communication workflows, assign internal team tasks, and ensure deliverables are produced in alignment with schedule and budget expectations. Interface directly with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal staff to facilitate clear, professional, and solution-oriented communication across all project phases. Maintain and enforce adherence to established office standards for architectural documentation and quality control. Draft and coordinate key administrative documentation, including professional correspondence, meeting minutes, Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, and construction-related communications. Provide time estimates for assigned tasks and consistently complete assignments within approved labor hour budgets. Execute detailed project documentation using CAD, BIM, and AI tools, including the creation of three-dimensional models, and perform material and product research to support design development. Participate in firm-wide design charrettes and collaborative working sessions to contribute conceptual ideas and technical insights. Support the project design team throughout all phases, from conceptual design through construction documentation, ensuring that the design intent is clearly translated into built form. Assist in organizing and producing comprehensive construction drawing sets in alignment with contract document standards. Demonstrate proficiency in technical documentation, including drawing setup, layer management, plotting/publishing protocols, dimensioning standards, and file maintenance procedures. Contribute to the development and implementation of office-wide architectural graphic standards to promote consistency and efficiency. Possess a strong working knowledge of architectural and construction terminology, allowing for effective coordination with engineering consultants and regulatory agencies. Review and coordinate architectural drawings with consultant drawings and technical specifications to identify and resolve discrepancies. Apply a practical understanding of building codes, particularly in areas such as accessibility compliance (ADA), life safety (egress widths, occupant loads), and fire protection (rated assemblies, stair design, etc.). Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, under the supervision of licensed architects. Demonstrate a working knowledge of fundamental construction systems, including wall assemblies, roof systems, doors, windows, and finish integration. Support construction administration activities, including participation in site visits, review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to contractor RFIs, and preparation of architectural bulletins and change documentation. Full-time telecommuting permitted. 10% domestic travel required. Will oversee 3 Designers.

Requirements
Must have bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture or a related field. Must have 4 years of experience in the job offered or related role, including 4 years of experience working with codes and construction and coordinating multiple consultants and their drawings. Must have 1 year of experience working in healthcare architecture and utilizing advanced knowledge of BIM modeling.
